Dance Floor Etiquette
Keep the dance floor fun and safe for everyone!
By being friendly, polite, and respectful, you help create a welcoming atmosphere for all dancers.
Key Guidelines:
Move Counter-Clockwise
Follow the “line of dance.” Avoid using the floor as a pathway to the bar or kitchen.Use Floor Lanes
Outside Lane (Fast Lane): Two Step, Triple Two, Quickstep, Tango, or other faster-travelling dances.
Inner Lane (Slow Lane): For slower dances. The closer to the centre, the slower the movement.
Centre of the Floor:
Ideal for line dances, Swing, Argentine Tango, or any stationary dance with minimal travel.Dance Through the Corners:
Utilizing corners increases the effective size of the dance floor.Be Courteous:
Always be polite and aware of other dancers. If a collision occurs, apologize—even if it isn’t your fault.Partner Awareness:
Shield your partner from bumps and collisions, especially if they are unable to see obstacles coming.

“Silence In B’tween” is a professional, soft and ‘easy on the ears’ musical group of ‘fun-loving’ and passionate musicians who love blending classic musical genres of many generations, from the 40’s era to the modern scene. We play Foxtrots, Rumbas, Waltzes, Cha-Cha’s, Two-Step and contemporary dancing styles from a repertoire of Yesteryear Pop/Vocal Greats, 50’s Rock & Roll/Do-wop, Swing/Jazz, Traditional Country and 70’s Soft Rock music. We pretty well have no boundaries on musical styles.
